Garden Bay Eyrie is an architectural masterpiece built high up into a south-facing cliff with amazing ocean views and surrounded by arbutus, fir and cedar trees.
This enchanting property is reached by a winding driveway up to a level parking spot. From there, 56 steps of stone and pathways takes you to the front door through a labyrinth of artistic and funky marvels left by the original artist residents who spent years building and perfecting their sanctuary.
Built high up into the rock wall of a cliff like an eagle’s nest, the late artist and architect Miro Kot and his artist wife Kasha created a magical and tranquil wonderland. Exploring the house and its surroundings will provide you with an incredible experience of their imagination and workmanship.
Secluded, tranquil and private, there are stunning ocean and island views of Pender Harbour and beyond from every room. The interior stairs climb past the original rock face which is an integral wall of the structure.
A queen bed is in each of the two bedrooms, (one of which has an ensuite). The well-equipped kitchen has all new stainless appliances.
There are several decks for your enjoyment, including a spacious gazebo perched on top of the house.
If you need to keep in touch with the outside world, we offer free fiber-optic internet, WiFi, TV (including CraveTV, HBO and Netflix) and a stereo with an aux cable for your mobile devices. A regular telephone is available (for local calls only).
If you prefer to leave the cooking for others, there are several options nearby.
For your swimming, canoeing or kayaking enjoyment you are within minutes of the five pristine lakes in the area (Hotel, Garden Bay, Mixal, Katherine & Sakinaw). There’s also many easy access points to the ocean for all types of watercraft.
