The Friends of Film Society of Powell River produces the Powell River Film Festival, an annual event each February dedicated to showcasing the finest and most current releases from Powell River, Canada, and the World.
This year’s PRFF is all online!
It’s the 20th Anniversary of the Powell River Film Festival and the first online. COVID-19 health restrictions in BC prevent us from gathering in the theatre, but we can still share in the experience of watching some great films.
The Powell River Film Festival, has deep connections to the film community of British Columbia. The Powell River Film Festival provides an excellent opportunity to reach the local film-making community, industry professionals, and an audience with an interest in culture and community.
The twentieth anniversary of our Film Festival will be historic, with all the events taking place online. Besides streaming the films through eventive, we are planning online conversations with select directors, and hope to get some genuine discussions going about the various films.
