Sunshine Coast, British Columbia (April 19, 2022) – Sunshine Coast Tourism (SCT) is welcoming residents to participate in a virtual event series this spring to ensure diverse interests are reflected in a vibrant and inclusive strategy for tourism in the region.

SCT proudly represents the Sunshine Coast/qathet region as its primary destination marketing and management organization and takes its responsibility for mindful consultation seriously. To ensure responsible tourism growth and sustainability, SCT is undertaking local engagement and communications, starting with a series of “Resident Conversations” in early May.

Virtual “Resident Conversations” Series:  Share Your Thoughts on Tourism

When: May 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th
Where: Resident Conversations will be hosted virtually via ZOOM.  Attendees are encouraged to join alongside their closest community, but all sessions are open to residents throughout the region. 

  • Gibsons and Roberts Creek: May 2 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm – via ZOOM
  • Sechelt and Halfmoon Bay: May 3 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm – via ZOOM
  • Pender Harbour and Egmont: May 4 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm – via ZOOM
  • qathet Region (Powell River/Texada Island/Lund): May 5 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm – via ZOOM

Join the conversation to be heard and to help drive a collaborative strategy that will take Sunshine Coast Tourism on an informed path forward in the years ahead.
